
Alan McCormick lives in Wicklow, Ireland. His writing has won prizes and been published in Exacting Clam, Best British Short Stories, The Stinging Fly, Hinterland, The Lonely Crowd, Banshee, Southword, and Confingo. His story ‘Fire Starter’ came Second in 2002’s RTÉ Short Story Competition in honour of Francis MacManus. He recently completed his second story collection and a book of memoir essays with the assistance of an Irish Arts Council Literature Bursary Award.
