Disquiet Drive
Hesse K.
Pilot Press, Jan 2024
Disquiet Drive accomplishes what few ‘experimental’ novels truly do—it challenges form and narrative authority and the reader. In other words, it’s original. This book is a scrapbook of a life, an I, which is split by circumstance. In the same vein of Eimear McBride’s A Girl is a Half-formed Thing, K. has created a polyphonic and at times hallucinatory meditation on language and how it is embodied.
