John Oliver Hodges lives in New Jersey. His writing has appeared in numerous print and online journals, including Black Scat Review, The Decadent Review, Thin Air Magazine and New World Writing. His collection of short stories, The Love Box, won the Tartt First Fiction Award, and includes photos. He has a novel out called Quizzleboon and two memoirs forthcoming: Our Dad the Commie (Frayed Edge Press) and Kill the Punks (Panhandle Punk), which recalls his time in Hated Youth, an American Hardcore band from Florida during the 1980s. John teaches writing at the Gotham Writers’ Workshop.
